Project Background & Challenges
The Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s outdated website, unchanged since 2017, struggled with poor navigation, design, and a complex backend, leading to usability and security issues. High bounce rates, low engagement, and 12.5% retention reflect its inability to meet growing content demands. A redesign modernized the site, enhanced navigation, simplified management, and supported multimedia needs. Serving diverse audiences, it delivered advocacy updates, showcased impact, and ensured accessibility, with features like flexible components, multimedia integration, and consistent branding.
The logo revision focused on simplifying the symbol and enhancing the typography to convey boldness and strength.
