Design Goals

With no internet presence, the project goals are foundational to growing the consultancy:

  1. Attract new clients and businesses by building trust and showcasing previous work
  2. Build community by providing free access to resources
  3. Showcase best practices in digital accessibility

A 7-page website (full site design and build), featuring:

  • Homepage
  • Site Accessibility
  • Approach (how we help clients)
  • Clients and case studies
  • Resources (blog? Downloadable PDFs etc.)
  • About us
  • Connect/get in touch (contact form, newsletter, socials etc.)

Design Aesthetic Survey provided an opportunity for the client to share personal visual preferences.

We don’t have ‘brand imagery’ available other than professional shots of our founder and CEO. There are some challenges also around stock imagery of Disabled people, which we can navigate hopefully. We tend to work a lot with graphs, drawings, icons etc. to make our presentations and work somewhat visually impactful. Our brand guidelines also feature different elements and shapes that might be of use. Please see here.

marchFIRST was chosen to create a consistent visual identity for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics across all venues. The design, featuring Visa-sponsored athletes, was applied to over 250 components, including Hospitality, Environmental/Retail, and ATM Programs. During the event, Visa saw a 20% increase in card usage compared to previous Olympics.

Themed materials—signs, lights, banners, uniforms, and more — were placed in select venues to welcome VIP guests from all over the world. Decorative yet functional, these materials set the stage for an inspirational and unforgettable 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
